{"id":2302,"date":"2015-03-12T19:28:33","date_gmt":"2015-03-12T18:28:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/totemadventure.com\/?p=2302"},"modified":"2015-03-12T19:28:33","modified_gmt":"2015-03-12T18:28:33","slug":"rescue-3-rvw-vehicle-rescue-submerged-river","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/totemadventure.com\/en\/rescue-3-rvw-vehicle-rescue-submerged-river\/","title":{"rendered":"Rescue 3 - RVW - Rescue of vehicles submerged in river"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Rescues of cars submerged in canals and rivers, especially during floods, are more frequent than people think.<\/p>\n<p>There are various reasons for this, sometimes the urgency to get somewhere at all costs, ignoring civil protection signs and warnings, overconfidence in one's own vehicle, lack of awareness of the risks involved in having water at door height. Sometimes, however, it is a case of suicide.<\/p>\n<p>Regardless of the causes, this is a very high-risk type of rescue. There are many variables to be assessed. The weight of the car, its shape, its position in relation to the current vector, the speed of the current, the density of the water, consistency of the terrain, obstacles and more.<\/p>\n<p>Rescue 3 offers the RVW patent, a river rescue workshop specifically for rescuing cars submerged in rivers or canals.<\/p>\n<p>It consists of an initial theoretical introduction followed by practice. The topics covered start with the assessment of the rescue scene, stabilisation of the vehicle, crystal management, how to create the intervention space, the various methods of access, and extrication of the casualty.<\/p>\n<p>This is very high-risk and very specialised training.<\/p>\n<p>Organisation and preparation must be perfect, down to the last detail. (Permits, trained personnel, adequate means, impeccable equipment, choice of location and much more)<\/p>\n<p>Here are some examples of workshops organised by <em>SAFE - River &amp; Flood
