Whether it really is your baptism or you have already flown several times, here you will find useful information and guidance on how the 'typical tandem flying day' unfolds.<\/p>\n

This allows you to better organise your adventure and possibly the day of those who accompany you but do not want to fly.

\u00a0 Step 1. Welcoming<\/h3>\n

The meeting point is at the base in Pr\u00e9 Saint Didier, at the little house with the canoe on the roof and Tibetan flags.<\/p>\n

\"Chalet<\/a>Here you will be welcomed by our staff who will explain the course of the day and collect registrations.<\/p>\n

A little fear? No problem.<\/strong><\/em>
\nAt the time of registration one is often a little nervous.<\/p>\n

There are those who have already tried flying and 'know everything', those who are new and don't know exactly what to expect, those who are a little afraid and declare it or those who hide it.<\/p>\n

\u00a0Step 2 - Ascent to take-off\"\"<\/a><\/h3>\n

<\/h3>\n

We do not 'jump' or 'throw' anywhere!!! We take off from a gently sloping meadow. Depending on where we fly, we ascend by cable car with the mythical Skyway<\/strong> or by shuttle. We have six different take-off points available and the choice depends on the winds and the weather conditions in general. And of course this is at the discretion of the pilots.<\/p>\n

Need to know first<\/strong><\/h4>\n

In contrast to rafting, which can be practised in any weather (water above and water below makes no difference!!!<\/em>), paragliding is strongly linked to weather conditions. Often there can be a wonderful sunny day, but it is not possible to fly because the winds at altitude are strong or blow in the wrong direction for us. Sometimes we can only fly in the morning and sometimes we can enjoy a beautiful flight at sunset. Sometimes we have to be patient, but as always it is Nature that decides<\/p>\n

Step 3 - Preparation and Equipment Check<\/h3>\n

While you enjoy the view and relax, the pilots prepare the sail, checking that the bundle of ropes is perfectly arranged.<\/p>\n

This is followed by the adjustment and first check of your personal equipment, which includes your helmet and harness and the ever-present GO-Pro that will witness our adventure.<\/p>\n

We use only state-of-the-art equipment<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

\u00a0Step 4 - Briefing.<\/h3>\n

\"MontWe are approaching the moment of take-off...<\/p>\n

The things to know are really few and simple. We are harnessed together. The pilot raises the sail in the breeze, performs the last visual checks and if everything is prefect he tells you \"Run!!!<\/em>\". In reality, the run involves only two or three steps and without even realising it, we will feel very light....and be airborne!<\/p>\n

Before we take off, however, we will do a couple of simulations so that the movements become familiar to you.<\/p>\n

Step 5 - Take-off<\/h3>\n

It is definitely the most exciting moment. The pilot harnesses the glider and then connects to your harness.<\/p>\n

The last equipment checks are made (there is a precise sequence to follow), checking the direction and intensity of the breeze... The Go-Pro is ready to go... 3-2-1 we're off! Sail raised, everything OK?\u00a0\"Run!!!<\/em>\" and in two\/three steps we are airborne!!!<\/p>\n

Step 6 - Landing!<\/h3>\n

It's time to come down, unfortunately gravity is always working to remind us that it's time to stop dreaming while floating in the clouds!<\/p>\n

Nothing could be simpler... from a sitting position you have to get back on your feet as in take-off and two or three steps we are 'heavy' again on dry land!<\/p>\n
