By plane and bus we cross Nepal to the east to <strong>Basantapur<\/strong>a small village at the end of the carriage road. From here <strong>we organise all the equipment<\/strong> which we will use in the river in packs, which the porters will carry on foot across the mountains. With them <strong>we will walk for three days<\/strong> in a wonderful <strong>trekking<\/strong> crossing mountains, encountering small villages, temples, accompanied by the friendly smiles of the locals, until we reach the <strong>Tamur Valley<\/strong>. If we are lucky, November is usually the best month, we will have <strong>breathtaking scenery of the great 8000<\/strong> such as Makalu and Kanchenjunga. Arriving at<strong> Dobhan<\/strong>, we will camp on the banks of the Tamur and after organising all the river equipment<strong> let's start navigating<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The Tamur awaits us with its crystal-clear water. We will have <strong>7 days<\/strong> to know its secrets; <strong>we will sail<\/strong> in complete self-sufficiency for almost <strong>180 km<\/strong>alternating between large rapids and calm stretches where we simply let ourselves be carried along by the current. <strong>Life on the river is a wonderful adventure<\/strong>. You get up early in the morning, prepare a hearty breakfast, and set up camp. All the equipment is carefully loaded and strapped onto the rafts, which are already organized in containers and watertight bags. A little yoga as a 'warm-up' and the sailing begins. <strong>Each day we spend 3-5 hours in the water<\/strong>. We stop along the banks for lunch and continue on to the best beach, where we set up camp again for the night. BEER O'CLOCK! As with the river, we will sleep in the \"1000-star hotel...\" We will pass through the villages of Chouki, Gupha Pokhari and Gorjia, until we reach Dobhan, where we will pack the rafts, leave the porters and begin the descent of the Tamur. We will walk at altitudes between 2000 and 3000 metres, so no problems with altitude sickness, but it can get very cold at night.
